Realizing the important role labor unions have played in protecting workers’ rights, Vlad Kachka is dedicated to representing and promoting labor unions. While working at Bloomberg BNA, he became an active member of the Washington-Baltimore Newspaper Guild, a labor union that represents workers in the news industry. Vlad gained recognition among his union brothers and sisters for leading membership drives, winning the Guild Service Award for recruiting the most members within his Local — and doing so within a right-to-work state.
Vlad also represents and advises debtors in bankruptcies and plaintiffs in consumer disputes. He is dedicated to representing his clients’ interests and making sure they achieve the best results possible.
Vlad served a two-year clerkship with the Honorable Judge Denise M. Francois of the Superior Court for the U.S. Virgin Islands, drafting legal opinions significantly shaping the budding law of the territory. Helping to develop that law imparted skills Vlad uses now to creatively meet the various challenges his clients encounter today.
Vlad received his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University, and earned his law degree from American University, Washington College of Law. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and the District of Columbia.
